WHAT: Celebrate! with Shaw Pong Liu’s Exploring China

WHERE: John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Boston, MA

Tet Holiday is an annual event that is held by TNSN VN Organization (Vietnamese Youths Organization) in Boston with the support of MIT VSA (Vietnamese Student Association at MIT). With the purpose of bringing the original Tet’s atmosphere as well as creating an opportunity for Vietnamese Youths Community in Boston to gather around together when this special Tet holiday comes. Vietnamese Youths Organization once again organize this Lunar New Year Festival 2018 (The Year of Dog) at night on the very first day of the lunar calendar, which is on Friday, February 16th, 2018. The Organizing Committee of the Lunar New Year Festival 2018 are hoping to bring the most affined taste of Tet full of “Vietnamese feelings” for everyone. As it is being said, Vietnamese Tet Rice Cake (square glutinous rice cakes and cylindric glutinous rice cake) and vegetable pickles are the most familiar food and Tet can never be good enough without these traditional foods. Not only that, maybe you guys may already heard of the famous Banh Mi Ba Le Restaurant (located in Dorchester) of the Vietnamese Community! Well then, of course, there will also be a lot of foods from Banh Mi Ba Le Restaurant are waiting for you guys to enjoy! Last but not least, there are also many other foods are waiting for you to have a taste and many fun activities are waiting for you to join on stage and a lot of interesting performances in the festival!

Prices of tickets: (including admission, foods/beverages, one red envelope with a value of $1)
– Online ticket (individual): $15.99 (+$2.94 fee)
– Online tickets (2 people group and above): $13.49 (+$2.80 fee)
– Free tickets for students of MIT (please remember to bring your MIT student ID for admission)

*Note: The additional fee is being charged by the website eventbrite.com and not by the Vietnamese Youths Organization. Our organization only receive the price tickets after deducting the additional fee. So please take this into your consideration!

All of the money receive from the Tet Lunar New Year Festival 2018 will be put in our Vietnamese Youths Organization’s funds. By doing this, our organization will have funding to hold other FREE small activities (such as small meet-up in Christmas time or other holiday occasions). Your contributions mean a lot to us and these contribution will help us with financial budget as well as motivate our organization to continue working our best to generate more and more creative ideas, projects and events to broaden our Vietnamese Youths Association Community in Boston.
