FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chau Kelley Announces Candidacy for Hooksett School Board and Budget Committee
HOOKSETT, N.H. — February 27, 2026 — Chau Kelley, a longtime Hooksett resident and business leader, announced her candidacy for the Hooksett School Board and Budget Committee, bringing nearly three decades of business, real estate, and community leadership experience to the race.
Kelley has spent twenty-eight years as a Realtor with RE/MAX Area Real Estate Network and holds a bachelor’s degree in international business with a minor in finance from Southern New Hampshire University.
Her commitment to freedom, opportunity, and responsible governance is rooted in her family’s story. Her father was a Vietnamese Marine captain who fought alongside U.S. Marines until the Fall of Saigon in 1975. After the war, he was imprisoned by the Vietnamese communist regime in a concentration camp for seven years as a prisoner of war. Years later, the United States sponsored camp survivors and their families to resettle in America. In 1994, Kelley and her family arrived in the United States seeking freedom and a fresh start.
Within two months of arriving in New Hampshire, Kelley enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University and completed her four-and-a-half-year degree in just three years. Within three months, every member of her family had secured employment. Together, they purchased their first apartment building, laying a foundation for long-term success. Within a year of graduating, Kelley purchased her first investment property, followed by another the next year, continuing to build and manage properties through discipline and hard work.
Kelley serves as President of the Vietnamese-American Association of New Hampshire, where she fosters connection, engagement, and opportunity within the community. For nineteen years, she has worked as a citizen journalist, using video and photography to promote transparency in government.
In 2021, she was recognized by the Government Integrity Project for her dedication to reporting the truth since 2007 and received the Freedom Fighter of the Year Award from Americans for Prosperity – New Hampshire.
“I believe in common-sense governance, responsible budgeting, and keeping taxes low for Hooksett residents,” Kelley said. “I will work to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely — on needs, not wants — and that our schools remain strong, transparent, and accountable.”
Residents are encouraged to vote for Kelley on March 10 from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at David Cawley Middle School.
Married for twenty-five years and a Hooksett resident for twenty-five years, Kelley enjoys gardening, cooking, and photography.
